About Us

The Hong Kong Mental Wellness Association (HKMWA) was established in March 2022 as an association dedicated to raising awareness and promoting the significance of mental wellness in Hong Kong.

In the 2023 Policy Address, the HKSAR government continued to emphasize their commitment to enhancing the mental wellness of various groups through targeted services, and strengthening community mental health services. HKMWA aligns with this vision and strives to collaborate with the government, professionals and community members to achieve our shared goals. We envision a society where mental well-being is prioritized, stigma is eradicated, and individuals are empowered to lead fulfilling lives through accessible and comprehensive mental health support.

In line with our mission, we are committed to providing responsive community support. By promoting awareness, education and proactive interventions, HKMWA strives to create an environment that fosters resilience, empathy and holistic wellness.

Additionally, by steadfastly embodying our core values of Professionalism, Passion and Proactive response to change, HKMWA aims to guide and lead the next generation towards better mental wellness, as mentioned in the recent policy address, “Hong Kong will Prosper only when its Young People Thrive”, nurturing a positive, supportive and caring society where mental wellness is valued, celebrated, and integrated into every aspect of our lives.

In view of this, the " Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link " has set up a telephone hotline and WhatsApp platform to provide free psychological support services to the Hong Kong public. The hotline is provided by professionals to provide support to the public.
